Oh, BADASS. I love the detail on the rotting zombie paws, it almost looks computer-generated. I'm pretty sure you used a photo for the background, in which case, your illustration is integrated flawlessly. If you don't mind me asking, do you do this professionally?
Thanks, glad you like it. Yep, the background is actually a combination of photos mashed together. Nope, I don't do art professionally, it's just a hobby at this point. Never was good at selling myself or trying to make a business out of what I do, so I'm just kind of aimlessly doodling.
Actually a quite interesting scene. Zombies surrounding a wolf, a meerkat and... I assume a dingo. And man, the detail is extremely well done. Sheding skin, rottet flesh, bones and claws in a very bad conditions for the zombies and fluffy and flawless coats for our heroes. The expression are also nice. Your persona is looking determined, the meerkat (I assume Timduru) looks calculating and the dingo ( I assume Tos) looks like he worries about his ammunition. WHich brings me to the weapons. Guns are classic, but of course they have limited ammunition. A staff with two wolf-heads, a nice weapon design, might be able to break their skulls with enough force, if the material is hard enough. A club with spikes.... shorter range but effective. The overall detail is the weapons if flawless. They look like their real-life counterparts... of course I haven't seen a wolf-headed staf, yet.
As you used a photography with drawn figures, it is worth to mention that it looks nice. The schemes of the zombie animal people behind the windows are flawlessly integrated into the background.
Wow thanks! Glad you took the time to write all of that. The weapons actually came about because they needed something to fight with, and I already had my staff for my character. Timduru actually has an inflatable spiked club he suits with, and Tos has those exact weapons in real life, so I figured they'd integrate well into the picture. Tos has power weapons, I have range, Tim has skull-crushing, so we're a nice triangle of death dealing.
One day I do actually plan to make my staff a reality too, just not sure how to construct it so that it's safe to bring to cons and can disassemble and travel well. We'll see how that goes hehe.
